“We were rescued after 22 hours. I didn’t think I was going to make it. I also thought I was going to die while I was in Libya. I spent 1 year and four months in Libya. I was kidnaped and tortured for a long time. They wanted money from me and at one point, they twisted my knee around by 180 degrees. Friends of mine had to straighten my leg out by hand. I can’t walk well anymore”.
